FTC Requests Public Comments Regarding Gender-Affirming Care for Minors

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is requesting public comment on Gender-Affirming Care (GAC) after holding a bullshit workshop on the harms of GAC to minors. The FTC says it wants to “understand how consumers may have been exposed to false or unsupported claims about “gender-affirming care” (GAC), especially as it relates to minors…”
One of the questions the FTC asks is:
Are you aware of any individuals, entities, or institutions that have promoted, advertised, or otherwise made public representations about GAC procedures or GAC-related products? If so, describe, including the following:
What entities, individuals, or institutions?
What were the representations?
Where did the representations appear (e.g., in-person, conferences, social media posts, websites)?

I am aware the following institutions having made false claims about GAC:
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
The White House and President Donald J. Trump
The following states and territory: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wyoming, Arizona, and New Hampshire
The Federal Trade Commission has represented GAC as a dangerous, ineffective treatment peddled through unfair and deceptive practices. These representations were made during its July 9 workshop and in FTC Document ID FTC-2025-0264-0001. These representations by the FTC are false. GAC is safe for adults and minors, is an effective and life-saving treatment, and is provided in line with medical practices for other care.
The White House and the President have stated or indicated that transgender women are men, that the existence of transgender women deprives cisgender women of dignity and safety, and that the GAC typically provided to minors is irreversible, harmful, sterilizing mutilation. These representations were made in the January 20 Presidential Action “Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism And Restoring Biological Truth To The Federal Government” and the January 28 Presidential Action “Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation”. These representations are all false. Transgender women are women, and should be afforded the same rights and protections as any other women. Transgender individuals are valued members of our communities, and treating a person with dignity, respect, and care does not diminish the dignity and safety of another person. The GAC care typically provided to minors is puberty suppressing medication, which simply delays puberty until the child is ready to make any further health care decisions. These medications are given to cisgender children who have the condition precocious puberty and are safe and effective.
The states listed above have instituted laws restricting GAC for minors, making a number of false claims including the false claim that sex is determined at conception, the false claim that GAC does not improve patient outcomes, and the false claim that GAC is not supported by rigorous and appropriate science.
As a citizen, taxpayer, and voter, I respectfully request that the FTC require the Administration and the States to stop lying to the American people by suggesting they are enacting these proclamations and legislation in the best interest of women and children. The FTC should require that these entities and the people running them state the truth: they are attempting to create an America that aligns with their religious, patriarchal, bigoted ideals where transgender people don’t exist, and they will commit genocide to do it.
